The idea of seeing Adam Lambert perform from the front row is something that’s crossed every fan’s mind, I’m sure! Except for the two remaining LA dates in December, the Glam Nation USA Tour is over. But we have future tours to think about! My girlfriend Ellen sent me the following video, and I got to thinking about all our strategies.
The General Admission ticket is a double-edged sword. Thankfully you don’t have to be the first person to get through on the crazy ticket-buying website in order to be front-row, center. That is if you can get through! How many of us have been in the situation of pressing the refresh button as the 10 AM hour approaches, and to finally get it live at 10:00:01, and type in your ticket info, squint to make out the LSD-simulation of a security code, only to find out that no seats are available??? But say you’ve got that Golden GA Ticket. How early do you need to arrive at the venue to wait in line all day, hoping to be among the first to get into the arena and get that coveted position?? You have to prepare to lose sleep, dress, make up, and glitter in line. Do you make your back up plans with enough knowledge of the floor situation? Do you say you’ll stand 10 rows back in the center, or would you rather be 3 rows back on the side? These are all things that drive us crazy, knowing we only have 2 seconds to make that decision, once we’re through the turnstiles, approaching the open floor space.
Some artists have Fan Club memberships that offer additional access to benefits such as VIP entrance, Meet and Greets, and merchandise offerings. (No word yet on any Meet and Greet for either of Adam’s two December Los Angeles concerts.) Thank you to my girlfriend Ellen for supplying me with this video on what a Bon Jovi fan will do to get up close and personal with their favorite. Just substitute“Adam” every time you hear Bon Jovi mentioned and you’ll get an idea of what how far Glam Fans are willing to go!!

Love ya!
