Adam Lambert Voted Sexiest Male Celebrity by Flecking Records Readers

The British voters definitely know the talent they have in front of them this week. Theyve voted Adam Lambert as the Sexiest Male Celebrity, surprising no one who reads this site!
desktop1
From Flecking Records by Frankie Genchi:
Congratulations Adam Lambert, you were voted the sexiest male celebrity by our readers.
Adam, 28, burst into our lives when he auditioned for American Idol. From that moment on he went on to impress so many of us and eventually become the runner up in the competition.
The Times identified Adam as the first openly gay mainstream pop artist to launch a career on a major label in the United States, but dont think for a second that this stops female fans lusting after him too.
Adam is famed for his supposedly controversial acts. Whether its snogging a member of his band, locking lips with his audience or smoking a doobie on stage in Amsterdam, Adam seems to shock wherever he rocks, but thats why his fans love him, hes not afraid to be himself and do what he wants to do. Adam is the poster boy for individuality. Oh, and he has an amazing voice, and hes hot. A deserving winner.

And from a different page on the same web site:
Adam Lambert has come out tops in a poll to find the Sexiest Male Celebrity of 2010.
We asked our readers to nominate male celebs who they found sexy, and received an overwhelming number of nominations for Adam.
Were not surprised that he won, but it has to be noted that, when it came to the public vote, Adam won with over 50% of the vote. Something which cant have been easy up against the likes of Robert Pattinson, Ian Somerhalder, Zac Efron, Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Adam is currently in the UK on tour, and were very excited to have him in our home country.

Adam Lambert - ROCK GOD!! Purple Haze/Whole Lotta Love From Amsterdam

There is not much that needs to be said with this version of Purple Haze and Whole Lotta Love from Amsterdam. We all know it. Adam Lambert is a TRUE ROCK GOD! He is already our artist of the decade. He joins a very select group of rock icons, among them: Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie and Michael Jackson. Artists who HAD to do it their way. EVERYONE knows who they are. And with performances like this, everyone will know who Adam Lambert is. We can only hope he will bring this Adam home to the USA and give it to us onstage next month in Los Angeles. Im out of breath from watching this. I can literally feel my heart pounding in my chest!

Rock on!

Adam Lambert Makes It to Saturday Night Live - - - Sort Of!!

We’ve all been waiting for the day when Adam Lambert will appear on Saturday Night Live, hopefully as combination Host/Musical Guest. Since he’s currently selling out Europe, he appeared on last night’s show, in a comedy sketch. Now, you have to realize this is a spoof, in the truest sense of the word. Please don’t get all railed up saying“why don’t these people realize he doesn’t scream?” Just to have Adam used as a character is a true complement.

I“know” we’ll have the real thing, as soon as it’s convenient for Adam’s busy schedule. Maybe when he’s promoting his NEXT album!

I seem to remember this same SNL player, Jason Sudeikis doing Adam last year, in pretty much the same role - wailing. But I think the tongue is new this season!“Adam” appears at 2:00.

Laugh on!

Thanksgiving Begins Early with a Preview of Tonights E! True Hollywood Story with Adam Lambert!

Hey Glambs this is going to be a very special week for us. Well be celebrating the holiday with our families and friends remembering everything we have to be thankful for. And in this troubled economic time, we might have to dig a little deeper. At your Thanksgiving dinner table, does everyone join hands and say something special that theyre thankful for? At my table Ill be including Adam, my new friends via Adam and this web site, even if its a silent remembrance so as to not further irk those who love me and put up with my obsession and devotion.

Tonight is the debut of E! True Hollywood Story featuring Adam Lambert. This will play several times through the end of the month, and longer probably. Dont you think its ironic that the debut is opposite of this years American Music Awards?!? The one they’ve been hyping with reference to last year’s big surpise that they won’t name or show among their clips!

To start your Thanksgiving off, heres a preview of tonights Adam Lamberts E! True Hollywood Story!

The following story came from a local San Diego paper. It sounds like Adam will be completely open as usual, hopefully giving us some new surprises. Im so excited to learn theyll be showing film from the San Diego stop of his Glam Nation Tour and everyone who watches will get to see what weve been ogling about since June!

Love ya!

From the North County Times; story by Pam Kragen:
North County-bred pop star Adam Lambert is the subject of an“E! True Hollywood Story” profile that will premiere at 9 p.m. Sunday on the E! cable network.
The one-hour documentary features interviews with Lambert, his family, his drama and singing teachers at Mt. Carmel High School, music journalists,“American Idol” judge Randy Jackson, best friend Danielle Stori and many others, along with footage captured during Lambert’s sold-out concert last July in San Diego.
The special has been kept under tight wraps this month. Even Lambert’s mother, Leila, said last week that she hasn’t seen the program and will be forced to tape it when it airs, because she is flying this weekend to Paris, where she’ll spend Thanksgiving week with her sons (Adam is touring Europe this fall and his younger brother, Neil, is on his tour production crew).
“The producer, Michael Lynn, is very excited and passionate about the project and said the final production is wonderful,” Leila Lambert said.“I was able to share so many videos and photographs that have never been released before, so I think it will be refreshing. I have spoken with many people who were interviewed, and they said it was so enjoyable talking about Adam and his success story.”

Interview from Sweden with Adam Lamberts Glam Band Members Tommy Joe Ratliff and Isaac Carpenter

By hunting around the internet, I just came across this interview(here)with Glam Band members Tommy Joe Ratliff and Isaac Carpenter. It was conducted in Stockholm on November 9th, either before or after the Debaser Metis show. Interviewers Emelie, Amelie and Marie were so lucky to score this. I need to get their secret!

tjr_isaacinterviewsthlm1

I love hearing how thrilled these young men are to be playing with Adam. These two musicians have been around for a while with various bands, and even though its Adams first tour as a solo singer, they credit him with so much natural instinct and trust him completely.

I haven’t met Isaac yet(!), but from my time spent talking with Tommy Joe, I can totally hear him saying these quotes. He has so much like, love and respect for Adam.

Enjoy reading the first part of the interview, and be sure to clickherefor the continuation!

Love ya!

~ Carol ~

How are you enjoying the tour so far?

Tommy Joe: Its been amazing, its been surreal Ive always wanted to do something like this. Ive never actually been on a real tour like, you know what I mean, just like kinda slumming it in a van and this is actually like my first big deal so its been a lot of fun.
Isaac: Amazing, its amazing its a really fun group of people and really fun, fun challenging show to play every night and to play drums behind Adam, Ive never really, its pretty amazing to play behind a voice like that.
TJ: Yeah you get kind of spoiled you dont ever wanna be in a different band with a different singer
I: Yeah, every band Ive played with has its strengths but playing behind Adams voice is just super. Extraordinary.

Is that the biggest difference?

I: No, many things kind of differs from what Ive ever done. Its really, before I played with them and I went and saw this show I just really liked kinda how dramatic and almost like theatrical it is. Its kind of like a play or something its kinda like a set story that gets told every night and thats kind of different its kind of like theres a lot of emotion in it but its kinda rigid schedule in show you know

When did you decide to go for music, to start focusing on music? At what age and why?

TJ: I was twelve. Well, Ive always been really into music ever in like my first and second grade I was like Depeche Mode is my favorite group and then I was into like Midnight Oil, remember that band? I loved them, I loved all these tons of bands Metallica. I grew up listening to that, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and everything. And then when I was twelve I used to see my uncle playing guitar and it made me wanna play. And then I just kinda picked up like a cheap 20 dollars guitar was all I could afford one so I had to like wait and you know and yeah it was pretty bad. And then I ended up just like learning Nirvana songs and Jimi Hendrix songs and everything and I started going from there.

So youre self taught?

TJ: Mhm, Ive never taken a lesson Id actually like to now
I: And this is his first band he plays bass in you guys know all about that.
TJ: Yeah, so Im actually becoming a bass player now its cool.

How about you Isaac?

I: Similar story. I really loved music from a young age. I was buying vinyl at like age five or age four and like when I was like eleven. I actually wanted to play music when I was seven but it was just too hard. I tried to learn some Guns and Roses songs and it was too hard but it really took on when I was eleven and actually I started out as a guitar player too and then I moved to drums later. I never had any lessons either I was just lucky enough, my dad is a musician and my brother is a drummer so I was just lucky enough to start out learning by playing with other people.

What instruments do you play?
I: Im an okay guitar player which makes me an okay bass player and I mainly play drums and percussion.
TJ: I just play guitar and bass.
I: You can play drums too!
TJ: A little bit kinda, I can keep the beat. If I had a drum-set I could get kinda good but I really. Id love to play the drums, Im always beating on things.

But no singing?
TJ: Not at all
I: I sang background vocals in a bunch of bands that Ive played for and I dont do it very well. I can do a background vocal like in albums and stuff if its in just the right range Im an okay background vocalist.

Do you have any more say in the creative process with Adam than with previous bands?

TJ: We kinda, we like you know, we got hired after the album was done and everything so we never got to put our own twist on the album. And usually if he doesnt like something hes like lets do it this way and it just happens but you know we put our own edge to it and I mean the album obviously sounds a lot different from the live shows and just kinda like, the albums great but we kinda add our own things to it.
I: Yeah, he doesnt micromanage what so ever. But it seems like we all really trust his instincts. So he kinda leads just by, just by being confident, but he definitely doesnt micromanage.
TJ:And he definitely has a vision what he wants and gets his point across when your in a soundcheck and stuff like that if he wants something in a certain way he knows.
I: And things slowly. Ive only been playing in the band for two months or what ever but things slowly take on a life of their own without anybody telling anybody what to do you know.

Sounds great!
I: Yeah.
TJ: Oh yeah! I couldnt even imagine playing with other people now like that would just be weird.

A Month of Adam Lambert: Courtesy of Rolling Stone!

Adam's Rolling Stone Calendar pageI was at the mall yesterday and stopped at the Calendar kiosk, curious to see what new calendars were out for next year. Browsing through them, I found a Rolling Stone calendar for 2011. Wow, I’d never seen that one before! The monthly pinups are 1 large reproduction from 2010’s covers, with 2 smaller covers on the side. I flipped over to the back side, hoping that Adam’s best-selling cover would be featured. Even though I was looking for it, I was still a bit surprised and grinned ear to ear when I got what I was wishing for! To see that beckoning expression on his face while he’s in repose with the snake was almost too much.

Of course this is only one month of Adam and hisfansiteis offering a gorgeous full-year calendar with photos shot by Lee Cherry. But if you’re not a member or can’t afford the pricey visual spectacle, this may be a great alternative. Search out your malls for the Rolling Stone calendar. Yes, holiday shopping is in full gear!

Perhaps our expression for each other during the holidays should be . . .

Merry Adamas!

Relive Adam Lamberts Glam Nation Tour With Rockstar Weekly Magazine

An entire issue of Rockstar Weekly Magazine has been dedicated to showcasing this summers #1 tour (in my opinion!). They are starting a series of magazines that will recap tour dates and set lists of some of the most popular artists and Adam Lamberts Glam Nation Tour is the first in the series. The cover is shot by Adams friend Lee Cherry, and its the breathtaking photo with the feather collar.

Heres a paragraph from the article.

The Adam Lambert issue will feature more than 80 complete set lists, as well as more than 40 outstanding photos taken at various different tour stops by Barbara Dengel. The massive 48 page full-colour Adam Lambert Glam Nation issue will be available starting November 6 for $19.95 per issue through RockStar Weeklys MagCloud Portal. There will be no advertising in the issue. A small low-res preview will be available before you purchase.

To See Adam Lambert From Front Row - What Would You Do??

The idea of seeing Adam Lambert perform from the front row is something that’s crossed every fan’s mind, I’m sure! Except for the two remaining LA dates in December, the Glam Nation USA Tour is over. But we have future tours to think about! My girlfriend Ellen sent me the following video, and I got to thinking about all our strategies.

The General Admission ticket is a double-edged sword. Thankfully you don’t have to be the first person to get through on the crazy ticket-buying website in order to be front-row, center. That is if you can get through! How many of us have been in the situation of pressing the refresh button as the 10 AM hour approaches, and to finally get it live at 10:00:01, and type in your ticket info, squint to make out the LSD-simulation of a security code, only to find out that no seats are available??? But say you’ve got that Golden GA Ticket. How early do you need to arrive at the venue to wait in line all day, hoping to be among the first to get into the arena and get that coveted position?? You have to prepare to lose sleep, dress, make up, and glitter in line. Do you make your back up plans with enough knowledge of the floor situation? Do you say you’ll stand 10 rows back in the center, or would you rather be 3 rows back on the side? These are all things that drive us crazy, knowing we only have 2 seconds to make that decision, once we’re through the turnstiles, approaching the open floor space.

Some artists have Fan Club memberships that offer additional access to benefits such as VIP entrance, Meet and Greets, and merchandise offerings. (No word yet on any Meet and Greet for either of Adam’s two December Los Angeles concerts.) Thank you to my girlfriend Ellen for supplying me with this video on what a Bon Jovi fan will do to get up close and personal with their favorite. Just substitute“Adam” every time you hear Bon Jovi mentioned and you’ll get an idea of what how far Glam Fans are willing to go!!
